AGENTE COSTURA (Portuguese double standard: sewing agent/we
sew) is a Brazilian upcycling studio that will be in residence for a
day at Instant Coffee Studio. We will be selling Brazilian Vintage,
upcycling on the spot, and presenting a performance piece that brings together
fashion, music and dance. The sewing machine acts as a percussion instrument,
and the clothes are transformed during the show.
Come along just to have a
look, or join in the transformation! It’s easy:
1. Go through your wardrobe and pick out the garments that
have been sitting there for a long time.
2. Bring them in and explain what it is that stops you from
wearing them.
3. Watch as your garment is reconstructed and adapted to
your desires!
